Wow that was great. I am a Datsun fan so seeing those two Z’s was really cool.

It’s fucking expensive!

There’s a cool commemorative watch for Peking to Paris. It’s also the longest rally in the world if I’m not mistaken.

I thought it was high at 30k, but now i read that was the 2007 price. now 60 and I dont even think that covers transport to China or from France.

It’s “only” $44,000!

For $44k, it better include some pretty good stuff.

Oh, I thought it was in the $30k’s, maybe it has gone up since I checked a few years ago. I think it should be done in a pre war car, just for style.

I looked it up and £35k was the first number I found. It could probably be cut down by getting some sponsors, though.

If you got a partner it might be possible, split it.

Most if not all the entrants to these sorts of rallies (there are quite a few) get lots of sponsors to help fund the event.

5 weeks-support + chase vehicles-securing permits-logistics. That doesn’t seem that bad. Considering the entrants are folks who can afford to take the time off and build (or have cars built) the entry is probably the cheapest part.

60k! For what?
Just do the Mongol Rally :)
